IBM sees no problem with Sun deal Print E-mail
IBM claim that there's no problem with the purchase of Sun by Oracle.

In an article on the Computer Weekly website , IBM's software chief, Steve Mills, is quoted as saying that the deal is likely to close soon as, "MySQL poses little direct challenge to database products from groups such as IBM and Oracle because it is not the most sophisticated database in the marketplace and there are plenty of alternatives."

The article also reports that the European authorities must decide one way or the other on the deal before 27-JAN-2010.
