EC told to leave Oracle/Sun deal alone Print E-mail
US Senators have told the EC to leave the deal between Oracle and Sun alone.

The Channel Register website reports that almost 60 senators have written to the European Commission, claiming that they are taking too long to approve the takeover of Sun in order to damage US business.

The letter claims that MySQL generates only 17 million Euro in turnover.

Oracle haven't been quick to respond to the EC's questions over the summer leading to greater delays.  Despite this, the Senators have asked the Commission to finish the investigation as quickly as possible.
