HP release Storage Roadmap |

HP have sketched out the roadmap for their storage, reports the ChannelRegister .
The EVA array is set to get thin provisioning and automated LUN migration.
Whilst the EVA is a great product, HP have apparently been disappointed with the sales. Thin Provisioning will mean that the LUNs only get enough storage space for what they need plus a bit, rather than being fully populated with the storage that the application thinks it's got. EVA6000 and 8000 class products won't get this functionality though.
The article also comments that HP indicated that they'll move to a common hardware base including Intel-powered controllers for its storage arrays.
