PING - October 09
THE BIG SIG
The major focus of activity over the autumn months is to get to work on the "BIG SIG" meeting which runs at the Institute of Directors in London on 3rd December.  This is the first meeting of its kind in the UK where we are joining forces with BITUG, "Connect" and HP to run a 1-day Conference and Exhibition.  There will be 2 plenary Sessions and then 4 breakout tracks plus an exhibition of HP technology with 20 HP Partners to talk to about their solutions running on HP kit.  The full details can be found on our Events page on the web - click here.

This meeting is being sponsored by HP and Connect - the worldwide User Group.  Book the date in your diary now and REGISTER ON-LINE.  This meeting is FREE to any HP User.  We look forward to seeing you there.

SUN CARE PROGRAMME
If you are a Sun User, then now is your chance to let HP help you migrate to an HP platform.  If your membership of HPUG has lapsed then HP are able to offer you free membership of the User Group.

STORAGE
We are working with HP, to provide our members with access to a series of whitepapers around storage innovation solutions. These should help you bring order to the chaos by virtualising existing underutilised heterogeneous storage and provide a newer high-performance storage arrays with virtualisation integrated from their inception.

WEBINARS
You will have started to see that we are supplementing our Seminar programme with a series of Webinars.  These last just one hour and are a "taster" for a specific technology which we hope will result in a more detailed meeting later in the year ahead.  The advantage to you is that you don't have to be out of the office for the whole day and of course you are getting more value from your Membership.

If there are specific topics that you would like us to review on these Webinars please send your ideas to events@hpug.org.uk.
