From The Chair

In previous editions of PING I've talked about the newly formed global User Group, which now has a name - CONNECT.

CONNECT was formally launched at the Worldwide User Group Conference in Las Vegas in June, and as one of our Management Group members, David Ledger, was there, I've turned over the bulk of the editorial to him to bring you the latest news.

At the time of writing David was unable to say if hpUG had made an official decision on our relationship with CONNECT, but we can now confirm that we have now made the decision and we are now affiliated. For me the key question was - are there advantages for you, our membership, in an affiliation (whilst we remain operationally independent)? The answer came out as a "yes", so we are now moving forward exploring the relationship.
